Dutch violin ter Horst, 2000
Dutch violin ter Horst, 2000
Beautiful violin built by the violin maker F. Th. ter Horst from Boxtel in the year 2000. Ter Horst built several violins, of which this one is undoubtedly one of his most special and refined instruments. The inlaid decorations on the wreath and scroll are tastefully and applied with great precision. The craftsmanship is unmistakable and he gives the violin its own unique signature. The elegant inlay is also special. Ter Horst used a beautifully balanced flamed piece of maple for the violin and regularly grained spruce for the top with a hazel pattern at the top left, a sign of the wood's good acoustic properties. The sound of the violin is refined, balanced with good open projection. We provided the violin with a new bridge. A very special violin of which you will not find a second one!
