Beautiful German violin built at the beginning of the last century. The fairly flat arching follows the classic Stradivarius pattern. The violin is made by a talented hand; a beautiful scroll with character, precise inlay and sharply cut F-holes. The even grain in the spruce top and the strong flame in the maple back are beautifully expressed in the slightly antiqued brown varnish on a gold background. The sound of the violin is clear with an open sound rich in overtones (a sound clip of this violin is below).
