This beautiful Belgian Master Violin was made by Dirk Vermoesen. After numerous visits to violin making workshops and two years of private training with various violin makers, Dirk Vermoesen specialized in building string instruments. Since 2000 he has focused on new construction and restoration of violins, violas and cellos. Because he is also a professional violinist/violist, he has a strong insight into acoustic tuning and optimal playability. This knowledge helps him in the making and design of his instruments. In his search for the ideal sound, he made various models. This violin from 2017 is inspired by the Amati model with vertically positioned F-holes and elegant arching of the blades. For the back, Vermoesen used a fine and deeply flamed piece of maple. The sound of the violin has the typical character of Amati; a warm and mild sound with a sweet undertone. The violin is suitable for good amateurs, conservatory students and professional violinists.
