This violin by Libor Sedlacek was built in 1999. The top is made of finely grained spruce, the maple back has a regular, light flaming and consists of two mirrored parts. The paint has a deep red color. The sound of the violin is clear, open and balanced (sound clip below).

The builder Libor Sedlacek works in his own studio in Tabor (Czech Republic). Here he builds violins after the example of the great masters. He was educated in Luby, the place where many Czech master builders preceded him and where there is a centuries-long tradition in violin making. Libor Sedlacek focuses on the new construction of violins, violas and cellos as well as the restoration of old instruments. Libor Sedlacek participated in several violin making competitions.
