Beautiful Dutch violin by Johannes Jacobs from the year 2000. The deep wine red, soft oil varnish beautifully accentuates the even grain in the spruce top. As is often the case with his new violins, Jacobs chose a piece of maple with a mild, intriguing flame for the back.
