Johannes Jacobs, 2000
Johannes Jacobs, 2000
Beautiful Dutch violin by Johannes Jacobs from the year 2000. With its pleasant body length of 35.5 cm, this contemporary Dutch master violin is also recommended for violinists with smaller hands, who, despite the comfortable dimensions, are looking for an exceptionally good and beautiful sounding instrument. The deep wine red, soft oil varnish beautifully accentuates the even grain in the spruce top. As is often the case with his new violins, Jacobs chose a piece of maple with a mild, intriguing flame for the back. The black accented edges of the scroll show the attention to detail as do the impeccably cut sound holes. The refined construction and elegant model are also reflected in the excellent acoustic properties of the violin; a sound with a clarity and power that meets the standards of soloists. Radiant in the upper registers, the violin also possesses wonderful power and maturity in the lower registers.
