Beautiful Dutch violin made by violin maker Cor Graauw from Winterswijk. Cor Graauw has been made string instruments for decades, often inspired by the models of Antonio Stradivari and Domenico Montagnana. Graauw's instruments - which are characterized by their great, noble tone - travel all over the world and are played by musicians from the Concertgebouw Orchestra, among others. Excellent wood has been used for this violin; a beautifully flamed one-piece piece of maple for the back and a finely grained piece of spruce for the top. The beautiful, transparent gold-orange varnish beautifully brings out the structure in the wood. The stylish F-holes, finely cut scroll and sharp purfling show great craftsmanship. The rich, sonorous, carrying sound - full in the low register and clear in the highs - gives the violinist many possibilities.
