Rudolf Götz, 1912

Rudolf Götz, 1912

€1,750.00

Beautiful German master violin by Rudolf Götz. Rudolf Götz was born in 1882 and lived until 1965 in Wernitzgrun where he built this violin in 1912. After training with Reinhard Lange in Wernitzgrun, he worked, among others, for the well-known violin maker Eugen Gartner in Stuttgart. The violin has a finely grained top. There is craquelure in the beautiful, deep red oil lacquer. The back is made of balanced flamed maple and has light traces of use in the lacquer. The violin has a characterful scroll and an elegant curve of the blades. The sound of the violin is clear and open (sound clip below). Because the oil lacquer of the violin is crackled, we offer this violin at an attractive price. This makes the violin very suitable for a professional violinist with a limited budget.
