Elegant German violin after Amati

Elegant German violin after Amati

€1,700.00

This old German violin from the beginning of the last century catches the eye because of its elegant shape and strongly flamed one-piece maple back. The violin bears an old Italian label (Vizenzo 1792) which should mainly be seen as an inspiration for the builder of this instrument. The influences of Amati, after whose example Vizenzo built, are clearly visible. Such as the round shapes, the vertically positioned F-holes and the relatively high curvature of the blades. The violin is carefully built and has a warm, rich and carrying sound (sound clip below).
