Violins from the workshop of C.A. Wunderlich in Siebenbrunn (near Markneukirchen) are known for their excellent quality. The instrument we offer was built around 1920 and bears the original label of this renowned instrument dealer. Wunderlich bought violins from the best violin makers in the region and sold them under his own name. The quality of this violin is reflected in the choice of wood; medium fine grain spruce for the top and balanced, mild flamed maple for the back. The finely carved scroll and sharp inlay are evidence of good craftsmanship. The beautiful, clear gold-orange lacquer and the accentuated edges give the violin an attractive appearance. The sound of the violin is clear, open with a mature character (sound clip below).
