Beautiful viola by the German violin maker Yvon Calvez. The good craftsmanship is reflected in the sharp purfling, finely cut F-holes and elegant curve of the blades. For this viola, Calvez used excellent tone wood and a beautiful transparent red-brown varnish that beautifully highlights the balanced flame in the maple back.
