Beautiful viola with a Carl Gottlob Schuster, Jr. label. Gottlob Schuster's workshop was one of the renowned workshops in Markneukirchen at the beginning of the 20th century and the instruments are known for their good tonal quality. This viola from the early 1900s, with a beautiful transparent gold-brown lacquer, is made of regular flamed maple and finely grained spruce for the top. The scroll is stylish and neatly cut. The length of the sound box is 39 cm. The sound is clear, with lots of overtones and character (see the sound clip below).
