This German ¾ violin was made in Markneukirchen in the 1st half of the last century. It is a good quality violin, built after the model of Stradivarius. The wood used is beautiful, with a regular flaming in the maple back and a fine grain in the spruce top. The soft gold-brown paint on a yellow background has been tastefully antiqued and shows a beautiful patina in various places. The violin has a mature, clear sound with overtones.
