Violin from the collection of Johan Stüber

Violin from the collection of Johan Stüber

€1,500.00

Beautiful violin from the Johan Stüber collection. The violin has an exceptionally beautiful flamed maple back. What is special is that not only the back, but also the spruce top is made of one piece. The renowned Dutch violin maker Johan Stüber provided the better violins with his own label. This violin was probably built in France in the town of Mirecourt in the early 1900s. The wide purfling that is placed close to the edge and the relatively deep fluting are beautiful. The scroll that is finely and precisely cut also shows that it is a very good atelier violin. The violin plays very directly and has a carrying, round, warm sound.
