Beautiful German violin built in Markneukirchen after the model of Guarnerius. The violin was built around 1900 and bears the label Heinrich Moritz Schuster from Markneukirchen. This label was used as a trade name by a violin shop from Markneukirchen around 1900.
The violin has a very finely grained top. The mirrored maple back has a mild flaming and the golden yellow background is beautifully expressed here. The scroll looks strong and has clearly been cut with care. The sound of the violin has good projection and is balanced across the strings (sound recording below).
